Learn the differences between sugaring and waxing

1.     The ingredients

They have different ingredients so that they deliver different features. If you favor the natural products, sugaring products should meet your needs. Generally, sugaring paste is made of sugar, honey, lemon juice, sugar, water etc. Waxing products are different since they are consisted of many chemical ingredients such as rosin. Sugaring products are gentle to skin. However, waxing products can also include some natural ingredients which would reduce the side effects and benefit the skin.

2.     Target Stick areas

They have different attached areas. Hair removal waxes would stick to the skin and hair. After you apply the waxes or wax strips onto the skin, wax would stick to the hair and skin together. When you rip off the papers, you would find you also rip off a layer of skin including dead skin cells. Dead skin cells removed, your skin would feel smooth and clean. That is the reason that why a silky smooth result can be achieved. While, it also has its disadvantage since the skin may be sensitive and react to the wax. A layer of thin dead skin removal can cause the redness and bumps after waxing.

Sugaring paste is different since it only sticks to the hair, as a result, sugaring deliver less pain than waxing. The gentle ingredients can reduce the side effects.

3.     The heated temperature

There are different types of hair removal waxes, cold wax and hot wax. The hot waxes need to be heated a little over the body temperature. If you choose the cold waxes, it is easy to use since you do not need to heat it. Cold waxes can come in the form of ready to use wax strips. Before the application, you just need to rub the strips paper between your hands.

Hot waxes should never be heated up to too hot, so a small test on your skin is necessary. For the body sugaring, you can use it at room temperature or just slightly heat it. Never heat it too hot since skin burn may occur if you heat it too much.

4.     Clean up after treatment

After waxing or sugaring, the cleaning up job is different in great extent. Waxing can be messy since you need to remove the wax residue. The chemical waxing ingredients cannot be removed using water. You have to use the professional after waxing depilation wipe or the baby oil to remove the residue. As to the sugar, sugar is water soluble and you can remove the residue with water washing easily. as to this, it has advantage over waxing products.

5.     Products cost

The purchase cost is different. Generally, waxing products are much cheaper than sugaring products. So, you should take the cost into your account when choosing between them.
